What grants are available?
Since October 2023, the government has been offering grants of £7,500 to assist households with installing air source heat pumps (ASHPs), with funding available for up to 90,000 homes. This scheme will continue until 2028.
Due to high demand, those who meet the criteria and act quickly will have the best chance of receiving the grant.

Who an apply for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?
To qualify for government incentives for air source heat pumps in the UK, your property must be located in England or Wales. The system must replace an existing gas boiler or electric heating system. Additionally, a valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) issued within the last 10 years is required, with no outstanding recommendations for loft insulation or cavity wall upgrades.

Self-build homes may be eligible. However, new builds and social housing are not currently eligible for this scheme.
